Join the Southern Illinois Democratic Socialists of America (SIDSA) for a discussion about fighting for democratic socialism in the wake of the 2020 elections.

Trump lost the 2020 presidential election but the fight against his far-right and racist base continues.
The threat of fascist organizing — emboldened by the Trump administration — continues to grow.
At the same time the incoming Biden administration is offering very little to workers and people of color.
And, in terms of US imperialism, the incoming Biden administration may be even worse than the outgoing Trump administration.
What are the next steps for organizing socialist politics, social movements, and against fascism?
What lessons has our movement learned about the possibilities and problems of working within the Democratic Party?
What have we learned from the mass anti-racist protests of the past year?
How can we organize a fighting socialist movement in Carbondale and southern Illinois?
